Thanks to the public outpouring, potentially damaging reclaimed water legislation has been positively amended, and the effort to privatize state sovereign lands is struggling. New on the radar screen are bills to allow drilling for oil and gas on all state lands, and legislation to allow advertising on Florida's greenways. Please keep up your calls on the issues identified below. We appreciate your support! Reclaimed Water -- HB 639 : Even though all the waters in Florida are a public resource, HB 639 would put reclaimed waters under the exclusive control of utilities with no oversight by the water management districts. The City of Tampa is the prime mover behind this bill.
