Info: America's Great Waters Coalition Launch

 

Today more than 30 organizations launched the America's Great Waters Coalition.  The press event took place in the U.S. Capitol Visitors center with over 80 people in attendance.  Nine members of Congress (listed below) from across the United States; Larry Schweiger, President and CEO of National Wildlife Federation; Theresa Pierno, Exectuive Vice President of National Parks Conservation Association; and Jeff Benoit, President of Restore America's Estuaries spoke about the importance of working together to restore all of America's waters.  Jennifer Vey, Brookings Insitution fellow, addressed the attendees about the importance of restoration to local economies.
